The tool supports the individualized progress in counseling, increased Intern/client participation in identifying strengths and deficits, and tracking of measurable goal achievement over the counseling sessions. The ITP focuses on foundational competencies, specific skills, and is reviewed and updated when required after discussion with supervisor.
